Bond - Craig Backs Winehouse To Record Bond Theme Tune

BOND star DANIEL CRAIG is hoping AMY WINEHOUSE will be chosen to sing the theme tune for upcoming movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE - because he is a "huge fan."

The actor pledged his support to the star as Winehouse's close pal and super producer Mark Ronson ruled out collaborating with her on the movie soundtrack.

Last month (Apr08), the DJ confirmed he had started work on a song for the superspy's latest outing, and had roped in the Black To Black hitmaker to lay down her vocal talents in his studio in Oxford, England.

But Ronson has hit out at the star's recent return to erratic behaviour, insisting troubled Winehouse is simply not "ready" to work on music while she is still battling her demons.

However, Craig says he wasn't aware of her recent problems because he has "been busy doing other things," and still thinks Winehouse is the only musician for the job.

He says, "I mean it would be amazing if she could - she's got an amazing voice and it think it would lend itself beautifully to this but we'll see."
